Game updates.

Changes to the game, its balance, and the little details that make planning a maze easier.

Deskbound has a home.

Deskbound is available at deskboundtd.com with a dedicated game page, a complete tower reference, and a beginner strategy guide. Play the full single-player game for free in a modern browser.

Build and plan

  • Draw rows of towers with a faded preview and a running cost before placing them.
  • Queue towers before you can afford them. Canceling an unpaid order costs nothing.
  • Mark a tower to auto-upgrade as gold becomes available using the button or Shift + U.
  • Inspect creeps for health, recent damage, and a survival forecast.

Balance and battlefield

  • The board uses a 26 × 22 grid with wide entrance and exit gates. Creeps vary their positions within each opening.
  • Pellet fires once per second through its first five levels. Its final Sniper upgrade fires at 0.9 attacks per second.
  • Typhoon, Squirt’s final upgrade, reaches 4.75 cells to cover more of an adjacent lane.
  • A visible wave-progress bar helps with timing; stronger range circles and queued-tower borders make plans easier to read.

Look and sound

Flat tower icons sit on a warm desktop, with distinct projectiles and firing effects for each weapon. Creeps have compact illustrated designs, and synthesized effects accompany firing, building, and battle events. The background grid can be switched off.
